00/hour with a 10% increase once the candidate has completed the Corrections Academy within one year.
Academy is paid for by the Sheriff's Office.
Certified Corrections Deputies starting pay is $19.
99 an hour.
Current Corrections Deputy wages increase to $23.
63/hour after 3 years of employment with the Sheriff's Department.
The position includes health, dental, and life insurance, short-term disability, and pension.
Shift premium for working nights.
This full-time position will require working days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
In order to qualify for this position you must meet the Michigan Sheriffs' Coordinating and Training Council pre-employment minimum standards for mental and physical fitness.
